Who we are

Feral Games Studio LLC, a limited liability company registered in Georgia, United States, operates Ashenbound, this website, the launcher and game services. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. You do not need an approved account to contact us.

This notice describes the current invitation-only private test, for adults aged 18 or older. It applies to visitors, invitees and account holders.

Information we collect

Invitations and accounts: your email address, internal account identifiers, password hashes, verification and recovery records, sign-in/session information and account status. An authorized inviter may provide your email before you create an account. If you enable extra sign-in protection, we store the authenticator, recovery-code or passkey records needed to provide it.

Access and security: invitation status, approval and revocation decisions, testing rights, testing acknowledgements, the adult-age confirmation made during signup, and administrative/security actions with timestamps and reasons.

Game and launcher: account-linked display and character information, customization, progress, inventory, in-game currency and transaction records, participation/results, and connection/session records needed to run the service. Features and progress may change or reset during testing.

Support: subjects, categories, messages, support replies and timestamps. Do not include passwords, authenticator codes, recovery codes, private keys or sensitive personal documents.

Technical operation: network addresses and request information processed when your browser, launcher or game connects; session/device information, errors, rate-limit and service-health records needed for operation and security. Providers also process connection and delivery information. Not every connection detail is saved in our application database.

Recovery: copies of relevant account, support, security and game data in encrypted backups, including copies on a separate studio-controlled backup machine. We do not ask for identity documents or a full date of birth as part of the signup age confirmation.

How we use information

We use information to issue invitations; verify and protect accounts; administer private-test access; deliver protected downloads; connect the launcher and game; save progress and game transactions; answer support; investigate abuse and incidents; and maintain or recover the service. Account creation does not enroll you in marketing.

Necessary account and connection information is required to provide the authenticated service. You choose whether to send support messages or enable optional authentication methods. We do not use automated profiling to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects in this private test.

Where EEA or UK data-protection law applies, we rely on performance of the service agreement for account/game functions necessary to provide the requested service, legitimate interests for proportionate access administration, security, abuse prevention and support, and applicable legal obligations where relevant. Our interests are operating a reliable private test, protecting players and preventing unauthorized access. These grounds do not authorize unrelated marketing or tracking. Where consent is required for an optional feature, it must be obtained separately.

Cookies and local storage

The website uses essential sign-in/session and request-security cookies, plus short-lived authorization for protected downloads. Browser sessions have an eight-hour maximum, expire at browser close, and can end earlier after inactivity or revocation. The launcher stores authentication/session information locally to connect securely. Signing out or clearing local data may require another sign-in.

External product analytics, advertising trackers and automated crash-reporting services are not enabled in this deployment. No nonessential tracking consent is bundled into the age confirmation.

Who receives information

Authorized studio administrators access information needed to administer testing, support players and protect the service. OVHcloud provides server infrastructure; Cloudflare provides domain, DNS and website network/security services; and Brevo delivers transactional account emails. Each receives information needed for its function. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to protect people, service security or legal rights.

We do not sell player information or share it for targeted advertising in this private test. Payments, mailing-list enrollment, external product analytics and automated crash reporting are not active features.

International processing

Feral Games Studio LLC operates in the United States. Hosting, network and email providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Laws and protections can differ between countries. Contact [email protected] for information about the provider arrangements and any transfer safeguards applicable to your information. This notice does not assert certification under a particular international transfer framework.

Retention and backups

We retain account and gameplay information while needed to provide and administer your account and testing access. We retain support records while needed to resolve and review the issue, and security/access records while needed to investigate incidents, prevent abuse, resolve disputes or meet applicable legal obligations. Records are reviewed for deletion or anonymization when these purposes end. A justified incident, dispute or legal obligation may require a narrower set of records to be kept longer.

Encrypted recovery archives are retained separately. Automatic backup expiry is not currently configured; removal requires a controlled manual retention review. Disabling an account does not erase its records or historical backups. We assess applicable deletion requests across active records and backup copies, explain any justified retention or delay, and address the treatment of affected records before a restored backup is returned to active use.

We do not promise immediate erasure from every recovery copy or claim that an unimplemented automatic deletion schedule is operating.

Your choices and rights

Email [email protected] to ask about, access, correct or request deletion of your information, including if you cannot sign in. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to obtain a portable copy, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to the relevant data-protection authority. Rights and exceptions depend on the applicable law; withdrawing consent does not undo earlier lawful processing.

We may request proportionate information to verify your identity and protect against unauthorized disclosure. Never send your password, authenticator codes or recovery codes. We will assess requests and respond within applicable legal deadlines, explain relevant exceptions, and provide any applicable appeal route. You will not be penalized for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Adults-only private testing

You must be 18 or older to create an account or participate in the current private test. Signup requires your adult-age confirmation; this is a self-declaration, not identity-document verification. Inviting someone does not establish their age or allow an inviter to consent for them. Invitations must not be transferred or shared with anyone other than their intended recipient.

If you believe an account belongs to someone under 18, contact [email protected] so we can investigate, restrict access and assess appropriate deletion. We will review any access for younger players separately before a wider release.

Security and changes

We use access controls, protected connections, password hashing, optional account authentication protections and encrypted off-server backups. No system can guarantee complete security.

Before introducing payments, marketing subscriptions, analytics or crash reporting, we will update the relevant information about data, purposes, providers, retention and choices, and obtain consent where required before that processing begins. Account signup will not automatically become a mailing-list subscription.

We will update this notice when practices change and provide additional notice or choices where applicable law requires them. The effective date and version identify the published text.
